About Acuario Piscis
Acuario Piscis is a neighbourhood pet store on West Cermak Road in Chicago. Online we concentrate on the bird side of the shop: perches, chew and foraging toys, and feeders for parrots, conures and small cage birds.
Three things that keep a bird occupied
Somewhere to stand, something to destroy, and somewhere to work for food. The categories on this site are built around exactly that, because a cage with eight identical plastic toys is less interesting to a bird than one with three good ones of different kinds.
Honest about wear
Shredding and foraging toys are consumables. A bird that dismantles a sola or corn-husk toy in a fortnight is doing what the toy is for, and we would rather say that than describe a shreddable toy as long-lasting. Listings name the materials and give the bird sizes each item suits.
